To repaint a wall with precision, small rollers are an excellent choice. Here's how you can use a small roller to touch up the paint on your wall:

Choose the right applicator:
To make your touch-up paint blend seamlessly into the surrounding wall, use the same paint and applicators (rollers and brushes) that were originally used to paint the wall. If you have leftover paint and applicators from the first painting, that's ideal. Otherwise, find a matching paint with the same color and sheen.
You can find matching paint through free smartphone apps that match your wall color with compatible paint. Another option is to go to a home improvement store or paint supplier who uses spectrometric analysis to determine the color and gloss of your wall's paint. For this service, bring a sample of the paint you wish to match. This sample is usually a physical piece that you take from the wall, such as a 1-inch square that you cut out of the plaster with a utility knife.
If you are unsure of the type of applicator used, small rollers are often considered the best option for paint touch-up. Small rollers provide a high level of control and precision.
Prepare the surface:
Clean the area to be touched up with a dry cloth to remove dirt and dust.
Use a putty knife to apply patching putty to any cracks or holes. Let dry, then lightly sand with 120-grit sandpaper.
Apply the paint:
Load your brush or roller with just enough paint to cover the area to be touched up.
Start in the middle of the touch-up area and work toward the edges. Without reloading the applicator, blend the edges using light strokes that extend slightly beyond the edge of the surrounding wall. Blending creates a less visible transition between the touched-up area and the rest of the wall.
